Be my friend, stranger!

Why do most people just love to ask an unknown person to become their friend on facebook? Do they do the same in real world? Do they just randomly pick a person on the street and ask him/her to be their friend?

I'm writing this, simply because I find that this kind of things started to annoy me too much. I have to ignore at least one complete stranger's friend request every single day. Amazingly, most often, we don't even have mutual friends. So I was like wondering really hard, how did they find me? Searched and added randomly?

I use facebook as a media to connect me with my friends and to find some old friends (and to play killing-time games). Connecting me to the people I know in my life. Not a complete stranger. And I don't understand why people did that. Adding stranger to your account, just to show everyone that you have lots of friends? Friends that you barely know? How could you call the people you barely know (and I'm quite sure you haven't even met them either) as friends?

I can only make one exception for this, and that goes to those moldy online shops. Since I understand the reason of them adding me as friend, and I sometimes interested in their products also. Therefore, win-win solution had been made. For the rest, the "ignore" button will always be my favorite. Thanks God, facebook made it easier nowadays, only with one click, and it's done.

Please find some other things to do and leave my account alone, strangers.
